Ìgbádùn Weekly — igbadun.com.ng
Last updated: September 2026
1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Ìgbádùn Weekly, a product of Chop Life Technologies Ltd (RC 7383686), uses cookies and similar technologies on igbadun.com.ng. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and software development kits (SDKs) used by analytics providers. We refer to them all as "cookies" here.
2. Your Choices and Consent
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA), cookies that are not strictly necessary — including analytics cookies — are set only after you consent.
- When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you Accept, Reject, or Manage preferences for non-essential cookies.
- Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent and cannot be switched off, because the site cannot function without them.
- You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer.
- Rejecting non-essential cookies does not stop you from browsing events, registering, or buying tickets.
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly necessary (always on)
Required for the site to work — session management, authentication for logged-in organisers, security, load balancing, and remembering your cookie choice.
| Purpose | Set by | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session / login state | Ìgbádùn (Supabase Auth) | Session – up to 30 days |
| Security & abuse prevention | Ìgbádùn / hosting (Vercel) | Session |
| Remembering your cookie consent | Ìgbádùn | Up to 12 months |
3.2 Analytics (loaded only with your consent)
Help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. These do not identify you by name to us.
| Provider | What it does | Data involved | Provider's policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics (Google LLC) | Aggregate traffic, pages, referrers, approximate location, device/browser | Pseudonymous usage and device data; IP handling per Google's settings (IP anonymisation enabled) | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) | Usage metrics, heatmaps and session replay to see where users struggle | Interaction and session data; Clarity masks text/input by default | privacy.microsoft.com |
Note on Microsoft Clarity session replay:
Clarity can record how you move and click through pages ("session replay"). It masks text and form inputs by default, and we do not use it to capture the content you type. It runs only after you consent to analytics.
3.3 What we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party ad-retargeting pixels, or cookies that sell your data to advertisers. If this changes, we will add the category here, disclose the providers, and ask for your consent before setting them.
4. Payment Provider
When you pay for a ticket, our payment processor (Paystack) may set its own cookies on its checkout to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. Those are governed by Paystack's own cookie/privacy policy (paystack.com). We never receive your card details — see Section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
6. International Transfers
Google and Microsoft may process analytics data outside Nigeria. Where that happens, transfers rely on the conditions permitted by the NDPA and the providers' own safeguards and certifications, as described in Section 9 of our Privacy Policy.
7. Changes and Contact
We may update this Cookie Policy as our tools change; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.
